OPPORTUNITY
Executive Director, Metro Care & Share Society (voluntary position)
ABOUT US
Metro Care & Share Society was founded in 1984 by the late Mel Boutilier, the well-known and respected philanthropist. It is a registered non-profit and serves primarily as a fundraising organization for youth education, community initiatives and partnerships. The Halifax Scholars Program is the most recent initiative which is dedicated to helping students follow their dreams by providing them with financial support and guidance as they attend college or university.
We operate a retail store from which we sell merchandise donated by our corporate partner. Through this initiative, we are able to cover the expenses for the society. We also send newsletters a couple of times a year to our current and potential donors asking for contribution toward the Halifax Scholars Program.
