The Purpose
The evening activities are devoted solely to raising monies for the Halifax Scholars Program scholarship fund. Metro Care and Share Society exists to provide financial and supportive resources to at-risk youth in HRM; aiding in their desire to gain higher learning through post-secondary institutions, with the goal of improving their future.
The participants in our program are selected from students currently enrolled at the grade 10 to 12 levels in high school, and are usually nominated by school officials. As well as students already enrolled in post-secondary institutions, but are facing financial difficulties. Presently we have six students in our scholarship program, but there are more students on our waiting list that needs our help.
With this fundraiser and other initiatives, we plan to open our doors to more students. The need is real and the urgency is now, please help us achieve our goal and support us in the fight for educational advancement for at-risk youth in our communities.
Detailed Event Plan
This champagne reception is filled with Gourmet delights, Conversation and Fashion, all for the Educational advancement of our community’s disadvantage youth. This year Fashion for Education comes with a twist as our Corporate Supporters/Sponsors have decided to take matters into their hands with the “I Dress4TheirSuccess” Runway takeover.
Some of the city’s top male CEOs will be adding their charm and sophistication, alongside our volunteer professional models, as they all hit the Runway in style supporting this amazing Scholarship fundraiser.
We’re happy to have the support of this year’s presenting designers; International Israeli Houte Couture designer Eyal Zimerman & local designers; MichelleRoberFasion, and Soli-Designs of Soli Productions Management Inc.
