Metro Care & Share Society (MCSS) is a registered non-profit that has been active since 1984 as a fundraising organization for youth education and community partnerships.

 Our Work

Financial Support

Our programs cover application fees, tuition fees, living and transportation expenses, textbook purchases and other tools needed for the candidate’s chosen program

Mentorship

MCSS works with a strong network of community leaders, volunteers, teachers, parents, and students alike, to work closely with and mentor our candidates.

Education

Workshops providing interactive services designed to promote engaged learning, academic / vocational success and community leadership.

Fundraising

MCSS runs several annual campaigns, services and events to ensure continued financial support along with other supportive resources to at-risk youth in Halifax Regional Municipality.

We develop innovative charitable initiatives to guide, educate, and support Halifax’s disadvantaged youth , along with their families. The Halifax Scholar Program is one of our most current projects. Check it out!

Mel Boutilier Legacy Fund

A GoFundMe page has been set up for people to contribute in memory of Mel. Funds from this campaign will be used to carry on Mel's legacy.

Fundraiser Sales

The campaign runs Monday-Friday from 10am to 3pm and Sunday 10am to 12pm at 2624 Windsor Street. Available for purchase is a wide variety of goods at substantially reduced prices.
